Apple Cider Vinegar: A Daily Elixir
Taking a cap full of apple cider vinegar before meals can be a game-changer for your beauty routine. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is renowned for its health benefits, including aiding digestion and balancing pH levels in the body. By supporting your digestive system, ACV helps your body absorb nutrients more effectively, which can lead to healthier skin and hair. I do this every morning, first thing. This is a great habit to start today. You will see changes in your skin very quickly!
Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar
- Improved Digestion: Enhances nutrient absorption, which can reflect positively on your skin.
- Detoxification: Supports liver function, helping to clear toxins that can cause breakouts.
- Balanced Skin: The acetic acid in ACV can help manage skin pH, reducing acne and redness.

Cut Back on Processed Foods
Modern diets are often laden with processed foods that can negatively impact both health and beauty. Cutting back on these foods can lead to noticeable improvements in your natural beauty. I think this one can be hard for most of us. This is the process I followed:
- Progress to only drinking water and teas.
- Slowly remove processed foods from my diet.
- Only eat unprocessed foods, as much of it as I want.
- When I’m no longer craving processed foods and to a point where I enjoy the healthy foods, I will adjust portions depending on my health goals, like limiting amounts for weight loss or maintaining weight.

Impact of Processed Foods
- Skin Health: High sugar and unhealthy fats can lead to inflammation and acne.
- Hair and Nails: Essential nutrients found in whole foods are crucial for strong hair and nails.
- Weight Management: Processed foods are often calorie-dense and nutrient-poor, which can contribute to weight gain.
By substituting processed foods with whole, nutrient-dense options like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, you’ll not only feel better but also look more radiant.
Increase Walking, Decrease Sitting
The sedentary lifestyle many of us lead today is detrimental to both our health and beauty. Increasing your daily walking and decreasing the amount of time spent sitting can have transformative effects.
Benefits of Walking
- Improved Circulation: Walking increases blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to skin cells.
- Weight Management: Helps maintain a healthy weight, which can improve skin elasticity and tone.
- Mental Health: Regular physical activity boosts endorphins, reducing stress levels that can impact skin health.
Try incorporating more walking into your day! Here are some suggestions. Make adjustments for your lifestyle.
- Never sit for an hour. Set a timer for 45 minutes, and at the very least, stand up and stretch. Maybe even walk around the room once or twice.
- Set yourself a step goal. If your already tracking your steps, look at your daily average and set a goal to increase it by 500 or 1,000 steps a day for 2 weeks. Continue to increase your step count by attainable incraments, and increase it on a schedule that suits you. Set your long term goal at being able to maintain 10k-15k steps daily for a week. It will take time and dedication. You can’t skip a day! This will absolutely improve your overall health and beauty.
- If you have a trampoline, get out there and bounce!!! This is amazing for your body! Start out with a goal of jumping for 5 minutes straight. Increase your time jumping at a rate that works for you and your health. I love doing this and my daughter loves to jump with me!
- There are so many free workout classes on youtube. Jane Fonda’s low impact aerobics is one of my faves!
Get Outside More
Spending time outdoors has numerous beauty and health benefits. The natural sunlight and fresh air can work wonders for your complexion and overall mood. Literally just go outside. Even if all you do is stand there for a couple of minutes or sit down. Get Outside! It’s even better if you can get out in nature, walk among the trees or on a trail or just in your yard.
Outdoor Benefits
- Vitamin D: Natural sunlight is a primary source of Vitamin D, essential for healthy bones and skin.
- Stress Reduction: Nature has a calming effect, which can reduce cortisol levels that trigger acne.
- Enhanced Mood: Being outside increases serotonin levels, leading to a more vibrant appearance.
Whether it’s a daily walk in the park or simply sitting in your backyard, make it a habit to spend time outdoors regularly.
Jojoba Oil: A Hair Care Secret
Applying jojoba oil to the ends of your hair can significantly improve its health and appearance. Jojoba oil is rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish hair, making it an excellent natural conditioner.
Benefits of Jojoba Oil
- Moisturizing: Protects and hydrates dry, brittle hair.
- Scalp Health: Helps balance scalp oil production, reducing dandruff.
- Hair Growth: Encourages healthy hair growth and reduces hair loss.
To use, simply massage a few drops into the ends of your hair after washing, or use it as an overnight treatment.

Cut Back on Screen Time
In the digital age, it’s easy to spend hours in front of screens. However, excessive screen time can affect your beauty and health in various ways.
Effects of Screen Time
- Eye Strain: Prolonged screen exposure can lead to tired, puffy eyes.
- Sleep Disruption: Blue light from screens can interfere with sleep patterns, affecting skin regeneration.
- Posture: Poor posture from screen time can lead to neck and back issues, impacting your overall appearance.
Setting boundaries for screen use, such as taking regular breaks and using blue light filters, can help mitigate these effects.
Listen to the Bible
Including time to listen to someone reading the Bible or preaching instead of filling our heads with worldly content helps us fight off the flesh and be reminded to live for the Lord.
Spiritual Benefits
- Inner Peace: Cultivates a sense of calm and reduces stress, which can manifest as a glowing complexion. (Psalms 4:8 – I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.)
- Positive Mindset: Encourages a positive outlook, enhancing your overall demeanor. (Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.)
- Emotional Resilience: Builds emotional strength, which can improve your interactions and self-perception. (2 Corinthians 12:9 – My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak)
Listening to the word of God will absolutely improve your spiritual health and your inner and outer beauty IF you allow it to change your heart. Check out these sermons for some awesome bible preachers! all three suggestions are on Spotify too!
