This Week at Lemon Ash
Hello Dears! I hope this is welcome back. ๐๐งก This week at Lemon Ash has been full! Hat had a rough start to the week, but he’s worked on the tractor for the past four days and today he is spraying the yard on the lawnmower. I’m so happy to see him outside doing something! I know he is in pain the whole time he’s out there, but its good for him. He needs some fresh air, sunshine, and a sense of accomplishment. He used to tell me to that I should appreciate all the simple things in life that I can do because some people can’t even walk. Now look at him… doing his best to practice what he preached.
Mom has been up to her usual: taking care of Dad, getting him to all of his appointments, making phone calls, showing properties, and working through real estate contracts. She taught a real estate license continued education class this week! She absolutely loves to teach and she’s good at it, too.
Friday morning my little Moon Moon woke up feeling poorly. She is usually wide open when in the mornings, but she just wanted to snuggle and go back to bed. I’m not sure if I can avoid keeping the whole house from getting sick but I tried. Meleah was so excited when she saw that I was taking the TV out of the closet to hook up on top of the cabinet. She actually said, “Yaaaaay!” I have to say, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse… I approve! lol It’s educational and appropriate. There are a few episodes I don’t allow Meleah to watch, like the holiday episodes or the art episode… I didn’t like that one. Paw Patrol seems okay, too. When she got sick of being couped up, she went outside to play.

We have a crazy next couple of weeks ahead of us. I may or may not get to see Dalylah Monday, on account of Meleah being sick, so today I took some extra time to do some homeschool planning. Thank goodness we got new printer ink in! I was printing and cutting and pasting and laminating and cutting some-more!
I got a few phonics centers from My Teaching Pal assembled that I can send home with Dalylah. Then I pulled all of the materials she will need. I had to spread everything out on the table to be sure I wasn’t forgetting anything. I get anxiety about not having all my bases covered with homeschool, especially since it’s someone else’s child I’m caring for. And then I organized, restocked, and got everything beautifully put away! We are all ready for Monday!
Ya know how teachers are always complaining that they should be paid more? Well… I’m learning that they totally should be! LOL
xoxo,
Leah
